Locked Down But Not Knocked Down

Locked Down But Not Knocked Down

We join Pastor David Crespo in the book of Philippians with a message titled, “Locked Down But Not Knocked Down”. We turn to chapter three and look to Paul the Apostle’s example on how he used his time during his locked down experience to self evaluate his commitment to The Lord instead of wasting his time. This is something that we too should be doing during this time of lockdown because of the Coronavirus! We follow Paul’s example by self evaluating our commitment to the work of The Lord. We re-focus, we look to spiritual things, we look to Jesus! We press on towards the prize that is in Christ! We live for God as we please Him in all that we do! Let’s listen in!

Philippians 3:12-15 (NKJV)

Pressing Toward the Goal
12 Not that I have already attained,[a] or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have [b]apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.

a. Philippians 3:12 obtained it
b. Philippians 3:13 laid hold of it
