Today we join Pastor David Crespo in the book of 1 Peter with a message that he’s titled “Your Enemy”. We look to verses eight through eleven and learn about a real enemy that is a real threat to the believer in Christ. An enemy that we certainly are no match for! But we can overcome this enemy! And we do it by looking to God’s Word! Today we look at four things from the text that will indeed help us with this task, but we must follow them in order to achieve victory! Let’s listen in!
1 Peter 5:8-11 New King James Version (NKJV)
8 Be [a]sober, be [b]vigilant; [c]because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But [d]may the God of all grace, who called [e]us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, [f]perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
