I understand that as parents, grandparents, and caregivers life can be extremely busy with school, sports, dance, gymnastics, etc. My desire is not to give you something more to add to your already busy life, but to give you an easy way to bring Jesus into what you are already doing on a daily basis. This is what we are commanded to do in Deuteronomy 6:6-9 Write these commandments that I’ve given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night. Tie them on your hands and foreheads as a reminder; inscribe them on the doorposts of your homes and on your city gates.
That' why it's with great excitement that we announce the new 1-6th grade D6 (Deuteronomy 6) Every day Curriculum.
D6 Adventure (1st-3rd grade) and Explorer (4th-6th grade) Kids is a Bible study curriculum for elementary students that encourages the application of God’s Word and emphasizes biblical literacy and apologetics. It provides resources for parents and teachers to challenge daily discipleship and conversations throughout the week.
A strong partnership between the church and home is one of the greatest ways to influence biblical thinking in our culture. Historically it hasn’t been hard to help kids understand WHAT they believe and think about the Bible, but often young people walk away from their faith because they never understood the WHY behind what they believe. D6 Everyday Curriculum presents both the WHAT and the WHY to help inspire stronger disciples who not only know the Word of God, but also understand how to discern truth in every aspect of life.
This coordinated approach to Bible study helps parents fulfill the command of Deuteronomy 6 to teach their children the Word of God in an everyday/every moment way.
“Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”
To help you fulfill this command we will send your child home with a devotional guide for the 13 week fall semester. Every Sunday you will be given a parent page to give you an easy way to connect with your children on the lesson that was taught. Additionally below you will see other resources available to come alongside you at home to disciple your children to be faithful, lifelong followers, of Jesus Christ.
In Christ service
